Interior Since the Delcat 1350 is a custom built power catamaran it is possible to vary the interior layout to suit customer's preferences. The layouts shown here are the ones used in the prototype model.
The saloon is entered from the cockpit by a wide central door. The galley is on the right and includes a stove, double sink and fridge, with ample bench space and storage space. The steps down to the starboard hull separate the galley from the settee and table. The table height is adjustable. On the port side of the saloon there are 2 entries to the port hull with a chart table located between them. The interior steering station is located on the forward port side of the saloon with uninterrupted visibility 120 degrees either side of centre. Engine controls, steering joystick, instrumentation and switch panels are all easily accessed from the comfortable adjustable seat provided. The port hull has a communal head with an enclosed shower recess, basin and electric head. It is accessed from the forward steps. The rear steps lead to the queen size rear berth, with the engine under the berth. A king size berth is located forward in the port hull with ample storage and privacy. The starboard hull has an owner's king size berth with an on-suite head and basin. The rear berth is a mirror image of the port hull. No expense has been spared on the interior furnishings. Durable two pack paints have been used in high wear areas and the head/shower. The walls and ceiling have been lined with a synthetic suede material which is very durable and mould resistant. Queensland Silver Ash (a very hard, decorative and light timber) has been used to trim all the edges and corners. The overall effect is stunning. The interior is light and airy, with the navy coloured settee contrasting and complementing the light trims. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
